Need something far more powerful than our every-day strength lanolin free wash? Then we have what you need-- our new Sheep Strip lanolin free wash.
This wash has no scent added, and takes no prisoners in terms of dirt and gunk. Works well on other woolen or blend fabrics, such as wraps, carriers, and even favorite stuffed animals that just need some EXTRA cleaning. This wash will remove lanolin from wool.
Directions**: Draw a tepid/warm bath for your dirty items, and add 1-2 teaspoons (about a capful) per gallon of water, and work into fibers, then let sit for 15-30 minutes. Rinse well and allow to dry (or move on to your lanolizing step). This wash is not formulated for machine washing; We recommend hand-washing only.
Got Knits?! Unlike interlock wool, knits/upcycled wool require gentle handling when washing. We recommend GENTLY squeezing your knit woolies when they've been placed in the bath, and avoiding excessive temperature changes or excess friction when washing-- DO NOT SCRUB YOUR KNITS. Let the wash permeate the fibers, gently work into stained areas with your fingers, and let it soak for 15-30 minutes. Rinse well in tepid water, again being gentle with your items. Roll your knits in a clean, dry towel and gently press water out, and let the garment lay flat to air dry.
**ALWAYS Spot color-test hand-dyed items prior to use. Product has not been reported to create bleeding in hand-dyed items, however all water tables are different.**
